1. Free Visa for Short Visit (BVKS)
Based on Presidential Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia No. 16/ 2008 on the Second Changing of Presidential Decision No. 18/ 2003, there are 12 countries which accepted by Free Visa for Short Visit (BVKS):
Will be issued with a 30-days (thirty days) stay permit without charge. This visa is not extendable or convertible to any other type of Visa. This visa-free entry also applies to participants of officially approved conventions held in the country. Visa-free entry and exit to Indonesia is restricted to recognized airports and seaports, including Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and Tanjung Priok Seaport in Jakarta. A visa is required if you plan to enter or exit the country through an unrecognized gateway.
2. Visa On Arrival (VOA)
Visa-On-Arrival (VOA) Facility is available for passport holders from the following countries and one special territory:.
For visitors from countries not listed above, non-extendable visas can be obtained from any Indonesian Embassy or Consulate. For the latest visa information contact the nearest Indonesian Embassy.
The VOA facility is only available at the following Gateways:
1. Airport : Polonia at Medan; Sultan Syarif Kasim II at Pakanbaru; Tabing at Padang; Soekarno Hatta at Jakarta; Juanda at Surabaya; Ngurah Rai at Bali
Sam Ratulangi at Manado. Batu Besar Batam, Simpang Tiga (Pekanbaru), Pattimura (Ambon) Frans Kaisiepo (Biak), El Tari (Kupang) Soepadio (Pontianak) or
Sepinggan (Balikpapan), Bandung and Ujung Padang.
2. Seaports :Sekupang, Batu Ampar, Nongsa, Marina Teluk Senimba and Batam Center at Batam; Bandar Bintan Telani Lagoi and Bandar Sri Udana Lobam at
Tanjung Uban; Bitung at Manado; Sri Bintan Pura in Tanjung Pinang; Belawan Sibolga at Medan; Yos Sudarso at Dumai; Tanjung Perak at Surabaya; Tanjung Mas
at Semarang; Teluk Bayur at Padang; Tanjung Priok at Jakarta; Padang Bai and Benoa at Bali; Jayapura in Jayapura, Blitung in Blitung; Tanjung Balai Karimun in
Tanjung Balai Karimun; Tanjung Mas in Semarang; Tenau in Kupang; Pare-Pare in Pare-Pare; Soekarno Hatta in Makassar; Yos Sudarso at Ambon; Maumere in
East Nusa Tenggara.
There are 2 types of Visa based on long stay:
1. The 7-day Visa-On-Arrival, it costs US$ 10.00 per person
2. The 30-day Visa-On-Arrival, its costs US$ 25.00 per person
This Visa in non-extendible and can not be converted to any other form of Visa
3. Applying For Visas Before Arrival
Citizens of countries not included on a Visa-Free or Visa-On-Arrival(VOA) list must apply for a visa overseas before arriving in Indonesia. Citizens of any country wishing to stay more than 30 days must also apply for an appropriate visa at the their nearest Indonesian Embassy or Consulate before traveling to Indonesia.
